A Travel Light, Sketch Deep™ Art Excursion isn’t about spending the whole day sitting somewhere trying to produce a beautiful picture.
The sketchbook is our way into a place.
Depending on the destination, our journeys may take us into old railway towns, heritage neighbourhoods, villages, farms, markets, cafés, artist studios, forests, waterfalls and local homes.
Along the way, we may meet local artists, craftspeople, farmers, food makers and communities who help us understand the stories behind the places we visit.

Simple Kit
You don't need a studio full of materials. Our approach encourages you to travel with a simple, lightweight sketching kit so that art becomes part of the journey rather than a burden. Your sketchbook becomes a visual travel diary filled not only with places, but with memories, encounters and stories.
Detailed Sketch
Sketching encourages us to stay a little longer. To look more carefully. To notice the shape of an old building, morning light falling across a street, the rhythm of a market, a conversation in a coffee shop or the character of someone we have just met. When we slow down enough to sketch, we often begin to experience a place differently. Observe more. Feel more. Connect more.
